What is Pilates?
Pilates is a total body conditioning system that works the core abdominal and back muscles to stabilize the torso. Pilates is a mind-body approach to exercise that increases ones awareness of good body mechanics. It promotes strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and mental focus. Pilates is beneficial to men and women of all ages and fitness levels.
Class Descriptions
• Intro to Pilates: This class is designed as a
prerequisite to Essential level. Introducing the basic principles
and body awareness that provide the basis for the exercises in
the technique.
• Essential Level: Ongoing and open class for those who have
completed "Intro
to Pilates." The Essential mat workout teaches the fundamental
exercises while incorporating the basic principles.
• Intermediate Level: Advance registration and payment is required
for this class. A progressive power mat workout increases. the level
of difficulty, adding variations to fundamental exercises. Bringing
a more athletic quality to the movement, involving balance, coordination
and endurance.
All classes are included with the $25.00/monthly
class fee or class only
membership
There are now two packages: 8 classes for $100.00 or 16 classes for $180.00.
